Agus brings deep operational insight from his depth of experience in maritime industries, industrial operations, and strategic business growth, alongside an active role in advancing Indonesia's business and industry landscape.

Agus Gunawan is an accomplished executive with decades of leadership experience across Indonesia's maritime, investment, and hospitality sectors. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in building and growing complex industrial businesses, most notably leading PT Daya Radar Utama to become Indonesia's largest privately owned shipbuilding and ship repair company during his tenure from 1990 to 2021. He also served as Vice President Director of PT Arta Samudera Line, further strengthening his expertise across the broader maritime industry.

Drawing on his extensive operational and strategic experience, Agus has remained actively involved in advancing Indonesia's business and industrial landscape through a range of professional and industry organisations. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Gold Indonesia and has held various leadership positions within the organisation. He is also active in the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and previously served as Head of Shipbuilding at the Indonesia Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Association.

Agus holds a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
